To become an affiliate of ClickBank is free, and I promise you that in just a few minutes after reading this, you will be one of the Internet Marketers earning their online money on autopilot. Moreover, you don’t have to own a website or blog to start earning with ClickBank.

1. Go to ClickBank.com and fill up the free sign up form. They will need your email address, website address, payee name (make sure that this name reflects your name on your government issued ID), and an account nickname which should be 5-10 alphanumeric characters that will be your ClickBank ID. Be sure to enter all information accurately and then, tick on the box about terms and conditions to agree with the contract.

You will then receive an email with an 8-digit confirmation code. Take note of these numbers as you will need them to complete the sign up process. In addition, you will also receive your account password to log in to you account homepage.
Your Account Homepage contains your daily sales report. The Account Settings tab contains all information you have entered on the sign up form. The Reporting tab is like your statement of account or paycheck. Resources tab is where you can find latest news and information about ClickBank, and finally, the Help Center tab for frequently asked questions and guidelines.

2. Now that you have set up your account, it’s time to find a product to promote. Click on Marketplace on top of your browser. If you have a product in mind that you want to sell, type the keyword on the search box where it says “Find Products”. Otherwise, browse through the category section on the left hand side of your screen. You will then be presented with a list of products you can promote on your website or blog. Each of the items shows a small description of the product and the rate of commission.

Once you have selected a product of your choice, click on the “Promote” button. This will trigger a pop up window where you will need to enter your ClickBank nickname and an optional tracking ID which I strongly suggest for your marketing strategy. The system then generates your Hoplink referral tracking URL which is integrated to your affiliate ID and the product you chose to promote.

Your Hoplink comes in two versions. One is a plain text linked to your account. You can have this inserted on social networks, in your email, or in your blog to promote the product. The other version is in HTML format for any purpose that requires HTML formatting. This is usually used by website owners.

3. Now that you have an account set up and a product to sell, what’s next?

Get ready to promote it and start earning money. If you have a website or a blog, that’s a good place to start. Most vendors have a website with pages dedicated to affiliates where you can get their banners. Just get the code and have it inserted within your site. Don’t forget to integrate your ClickBank nickname or ID; otherwise, you won’t get paid.

To those who don’t own a website, you can promote the product on various social media sites, article submission sites, and forum sites. You can also set it up as a signature on your email.

However you chose to market your Hoplink, best practices dictate that you promote them to people who might be interested with your product; otherwise, you may just be wasting your time. Be careful with forum sites, if you promote a product that’s totally irrelevant to the topic, you ran the risk of being banned.

One Response to 3 Steps to Be an Affiliate of ClickBank

  1. satrap says:

clickbank is really a great tool for marketers. The only thing I have against CB at the moment is that they have allowed lots of low quality and perhaps scams enter into their system.
Non the less you can still find great quality products and services on CB to promote.
