Glance around and see what types of jobs are available. Check out freelance job sites and places like Ebay. Make a note of the categories that are demanding the highest pay.

You can also swing by a local store that sells magazines and see what see what types of interests they are catering to. You can also do the same in newspapers. Buy a couple newspapers and magazines and scan the classified ads and see what the jobs that are the most in demand are. Finally, you could do a search for what the most sought out college degrees are. These are just a few examples, but enough to get an idea and a good list going of what is currently in demand.
